BIBLICAL THERAPY
Surrender to God
When Jeremiah was depressed and lamented that his soul had sunk within him, (Lamentations 3:20) he saw the importance of self examination and surrendering to God for he said, “Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God.” (Lamentations 3:41)
This lifting up of hands to God signifies surrendering while the lifting up of hearts signifies offering up our prayers to God.
Therefore pray and surrender your life to God by inviting Jesus into your heart and life so that He can help you face and resolve the challenges that may be contributing to your depression.
Understand also that He already wants to come into your life for He says, “Look, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.” (Revelations 3:20)
Therefore, open the door of your heart and life and let Jesus in by turning away from your sins and then confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and then believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
