How to Fight for your Country with Bible Verses
Regardless of whether
you are a leader or a regular citizen, if you think that your country or city
is under spiritual attack, you have to use various spiritual interventions to
form your own holistic deliverance ministry to fight for your country or city
and save it from destruction.
The first spiritual
intervention is to consult God and find out what specific thing He wants you to
do about the situation. Learn from Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20 when he
sought God’s help after multiple armies attacked Judah and seek the face of God
in prayer to learn what course of action you should take.
As you pray, do not be
discouraged by the thought of a single individual trying to bring change to an
entire region because The effective,
fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. Elijah had a similar nature
to ours and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain for
three years and six months. And he prayed again and it rained. (James
5:16-17)
Therefore, understand
that your earnest prayers can bring serious changes and begin praying seriously
for your country. Make your prayers even more powerful by going through your
Bible and choosing Scriptures that you can use to pray since Bible verses are
the foundation of Christian spiritual warfare because the Word of God is the
Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) that God has given us to fight with.
Scriptures that you can
use to pray for your country or city include:
1. Father God, You are
God in heaven and You rule over all the nations and in Your hand there is power
and might so that no one is able to withstand you. Disaster has come upon us in
the form of sword, judgment, pestilence or famine and we stand before You in
Your presence and cry out to You in our affliction so that you can hear and
save us. (Adapted
2 Chronicles 20:6-9) Because, You have told us, Call upon Me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you and you shall
glorify Me. (Psalm 50:15)
2. O our God, we have no
power against this great army that is coming against us and we do not know what
to do about it, but our eyes are upon You O Lord. (Adapted 2 Chronicles
20:12) Because, Our help comes from the
Lord who made heaven and earth. He who keeps (insert your country’s name)
does not slumber nor sleep. The Lord is our keeper and He is our shade so the
sun shall not strike us by day nor the moon by night for He shall preserve us
from all evil. (Adapted Psalm 121:2-7)
3. Father God, make our
officers peace and our magistrates righteousness. May violence no longer be
heard in our land and neither wasting nor destruction be seen within our
borders.
(Adapted Isaiah 60:17-18)

(Ephesians 6:17) Therefore, we will call the Scriptures that we will use to fight for your country or city SWORD WORDS.
SWORD WORDS that you can use to pray for your country or city include:

In addition to praying for your country or city by yourself, organize a prayer session with like-minded believers to seek help from the Lord and ask your Pastor to pray for your country or city during your regular Church services.
To ensure that your fervent spiritual warfare prayers avail much, understand that you have to live right for the breastplate of righteousness is another of the weapons of warfare that we have been given to fight our spiritual battles. (Ephesians 6:14-17)
Therefore, repent your sins and begin living righteously because God also promises us that If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face and turn away from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Combine righteousness with truthfulness as the belt of truth is another of the weapons of our warfare (Ephesians 6:14-17) and do your best to live right.
Do not be discouraged if it seems that the majority of the people in your city or country of millions of people are not trying to live right in the sight of God. This is because in Genesis 18 God assured Abraham that He would not destroy the wicked and depraved city of Sodom if He found just 10 righteous people living within it.
Do not also be discouraged if you do not know of 9 other people who are living righteously in your city or country because God may have kept them secret. We can see that Elijah assumed that he was the only true prophet of God who had not been slain by Ahab and Jezebel but God assured him that He had preserved 7000 in Israel who had not bowed to Baal. (1 Kings 19:18)
