How to Fight Loneliness with Bible Verses
Regardless of whether
you are a widow or a widower, a spinster or a senior bachelor, separated or
divorced, alone in your thirties or sixties, understand that you have to
combine spiritual and social interventions to form your own holistic
deliverance ministry to fight loneliness.
The first spiritual step for dealing with loneliness is to pray and Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. (James 4:8) Reconnect with Him spiritually and
ask Him to fill the void you feel within your being as He heals the ache of
loneliness.
Learn to view God as your Almighty Counselor and
show Him the needs arising from the depths of your loneliness as you lie on His
couch since He is the only One who knows how best to fill them because He is
the One who made you.
Ask Him also to send You His Holy Spirit who is our Comforter so that
you can cope with loneliness better as He teaches you how to deal with it.
As you pray, use
Scriptures since the Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17)
that God has given us to fight with. We will therefore call the Scriptures that
we will use to SWORD WORDS.
SWORD WORDS that you can use as personal deliverance prayers for loneliness include:
1. Father God, it is
written in Matthew 7:7, “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find,
knock and it shall be opened. ” Therefore, I ask You in the name of Jesus
for the right companion to relieve my loneliness, guidance as I seek solutions
for my loneliness and that You may open the doors of opportunities to
permanently resolve my loneliness.
2. Father God, turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me O Lord
for I am desolate. (Psalm 25:16)

Ask Him also to send You His Holy Spirit who is our Comforter so that you can cope with loneliness better as He teaches you how to deal with it.
As you pray, use Scriptures since Bible verses are the foundation of any deliverance ministry and Christian spiritual warfare because the Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit that God has given us to fight with. (Ephesians 6:17) Therefore, we will call the Scriptures that we will use to fight loneliness SWORD WORDS.
SWORD WORDS that you can use as personal deliverance prayers for loneliness include:
1. Father God, turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me O Lord for I am desolate. (Psalm 25:16)
In addition to praying for yourself, ask your Pastor to pray for you and attend Deliverance services so that you can learn different spiritual warfare prayers and receive deliverance from the spirit of loneliness.
After praying, put on the helmet of salvation since it is one of the weapons of our warfare being part of the armor of God that we need to put on to fight our spiritual battles. (Ephesians 6:14-17)
All you need to put on this helmet of salvation is to say with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead when He died for our sins and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
The next step for dealing with loneliness is the mental one of removing all negative thoughts on loneliness from your mind so that you can Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. (Ephesians 4:23) To do this, set specific meditation session during the day when you can meditate on the following spiritual warfare scriptures:
1. Lo, (insert your name) I am with you always, upto the end. (Adapted Matthew 28:20)
2. When my father and my mother and family and friends forsake me, the Lord will take care of me. (Adapted Psalm 27:10)
3. I will not forget you (insert your name). (Adapted Isaiah 49:15)
