Learning Bible prosperity principles should not be something you are ashamed of doing because God wants you to prosper.
We know this because of the following reasons:
1. It is written, Beloved, I wish that you may prosper in all things and be in good health just as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2)
2. It is also written Blessed be God Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. (Psalm 35:27)
3. Jesus also said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit" (Matthew 5:3) and not "Blessed are the poor physically."
So what exactly is prosperity?
Prosperity is flourishing financially, spiritually, physically and in all other ways.
And how does someone prosper?
To prosper, one has to follow Bible prosperity principles like the following:
God told Isaac not to go to Egypt when there was a famine in the land. Isaac obeyed, sowed in the famine and reaped a hundredfold that year. (Genesis 26:12) Therefore obey God's instructions.
God told Joshua to speak His Word, meditate on His Word and do His Words so that he could prosper and become successful. (Joshua 1:8) Therefore confess and meditate on prosperity Scriptures each day and ensure that you also obey God's commandments.
The Proverbs 31 Woman diversified her investments for she was a farmer, real estate investor, manufacturer, and wholesaler. (Proverbs 31) Therefore invest in different types of investments so that you can have multiple sources of income.
Be Grateful
When Jesus had only had 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed 5000 men, Jesus took the bread, gave thanks and distributed it. (John 6:11)So if you are facing lack in any situation, give thanks to God for what you already have instead of complaining to people about what you do not have. Then, make the best use of what you have as you continue praying to God to fill all your needs.
What should you do with financial prosperity?
Once you prosper financially you have to understand that are God's steward.
This means that you have to take care of whatever God gives you.
We can see that God enriched the Israelites when they were leaving slavery for He told Moses to tell them, "Let every man and woman ask his neighbor for articles of silver and gold." (Exodus 11:2-3)
And God gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians and so they gave them what they requested. (Exodus 12:35-26)
Thus the Israelites left Egypt with lots of gold and silver and begun their journey in the wilderness.
While they were in the wilderness God said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites to bring Me an offering. Everyone is to give willingly from his heart. You shall receive from them gold, silver and bronze ... And let them construct for Me a sanctuary so that I may dwell within them." (Exodus 25:2-8)
The gold and the silver that God had enabled the Israelites to own, was therefore used to build a sanctuary for God and given back to Him as an offering.
Therefore, when you accumulate wealth, view yourself as taking care of it for God since He is the one who gives you the power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18)
Take good care of the wealth that God has given you by investing wisely like the good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:21) and use a portion of it to advance the purposes of God here on earth. For example, you can plant Churches, feed missionaries and support other people doing God's work.
