Jacob made a vow saying, "If God will be with me and keep me in this way that I am going and give me food to eat and clothing to wear so that I come back to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God ... And of all that You give me I will give You a tenth" (Genesis 28:20)
Jacob promised to give God a tenth of all he made if God was with him (God's presence) and kept him (God's protection) and gave him food and clothing (God's provision).
I believe that Jacob gave this 10% as a tithe the way we understand the non-negotiable 10% of our income that we should give to God according to Malachi 3.
But, I suggest that if you need God's presence, protection and provision in a special way, you send another 10% of your income to the Christian ministry that His Spirit leads you to support.
As you sow this seed of the second 10%, you can also make the same promise that Jacob made to God.
