Fulfilling Your Purpose: Who Am I?

Has God called you to do something for Him?

And are you wondering "Who am I?" to do this thing for God?

If you are learn from Moses because when God spoke to him from the burning bush saying, "Come and I will send you to Pharaoh to bring My people from Egypt" (Exodus 3:10) his response was "Who am I?" (Exodus 3:11)

In essence, Moses wondered and asked God the following two questions:
1. "Who am I first of all that I should go to Pharaoh?(Exodus 3:11)
He probably asked this question because he wondered what qualifications he had to go to Pharaoh who was the king of Egypt since at that time he was just a shepherd taking care of his father-in-law's sheep in the backside of the wilderness.

2. "Who am I that second of all I should bring the Israelites from Egypt?" (Exodus 3:11)
Moses probably asked this question because he wondered what qualifications he had to go to the Israelites and tell them that God had sent him to deliver them from Pharaoh seeing that he was not living in Egypt with them, he was not even married to them and he had not even being brought up with them since he was raised as Pharaoh's son.

By comparing his present social circumstances with the job description or ministry mission that God had given him, Moses felt totally unfit for the job and that is why he asked God, "Who am I?" (Exodus 3:11)

God answer to his question was, "I will be with you.(Exodus 3:12)

God would again repeat this answer when Moses later told him, "I am not eloquent ... I am slow of speech and tongue" (Exodus 4:10) for He replied, "Go and I will be with your mouth." (Exodus 3:12)

Therefore understand that God being with you is all you need if you are to accomplish the job that He has called you to do.
This is due to the fact that the important thing is not who you are but Who God Is because He is the one who is accomplishing His purposes here on earth through you.

Therefore if your current physical, mental, financial, social, educational and other qualifications tell you that you cannot complete what God has called you to do, instead of discouraging yourself by asking yourself "Who am I?" (Exodus 3:11) encourage yourself by telling yourself that "God is with me."
