How you deal with trouble determines whether you become a well baked Christian or a burnt out Christian.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego teach us that to deal with troubles successfully we have to trust God completely.
We know that they trusted God because when they were faced with the options of worshiping a golden image or being thrown into a fiery furnace, they chose the fire and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, "Our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the fiery furnace and from your hand. But even if He does not, we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image." (Daniel 3:17)
These were very brave words from the mouths of boys talking to a king who had removed them and their people from their homeland and castrated them.
They were also strong statements of faith because they showed that they still trusted God even if their enemies had conquered them and practically destroyed their lives.
However, as a result of trusting God (Daniel 3:28) they frustrated the fire that was supposed to burn them to ashes since it could not scorch their bodies, singe their hair, smolder their garments or even leave its scent on them.
Therefore Trust God with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5) and have complete faith in Him and His processes when you are going through troubles.
Trusting God and walking with Jesus through your troubles gives you great peace of mind and enables you to believe that there is a reason for the problems you are going through because All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purposes. (Romans 8:28)
So, trust God and walk with Jesus as you believe that some good will come out of your troubles even if it is developing perseverance, character and hope for We also glory in trouble because trouble produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, character produces hope and hope does not disappoint. (Romans 4:3-5)
Do not also run from your troubles because you will become like a half baked cake which is removed from the oven before it has finished cooking properly as it is useless since it is not edible.
On the other hand, a well baked cake which has been in the fire for the right amount of time is useful because it can be eaten and fulfill its purpose.
So, instead of running away from your fiery furnace of problems, ask God to give you the grace to go through them since the attributes you gain will transform you into a useful vessel that He can use.
For example He can use you to comfort others with the comfort which you received from Him during when you were going through your troubles because Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our tribulations so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-6)
