The Bethesda Pool in Jerusalem had 5 porches in which lay many sick, blind, lame and paralyzed people waiting for the water to be stirred by an angel since whoever entered the water first after it was stirred was healed.
Among the multitudes that lay around that pool was a man who had been sick for 38 years. When Jesus saw this man, He asked him, "Do you want to be made well?"
The sick man answered by saying, "I have no man to put me in the pool when the water is stirred because when I am going to enter it, another person steps in before me."
Jesus then healed him immediately by telling him "Rise up, take up your bed and walk". (John 5:1-9)
All he could say was, "I have no man" because he had missed several healing opportunities when someone stepped into the pool before him and was healed instead of him.
As a result of his recurrent disappointments, he came to the conclusion that the only way he could be healed was if he had a man to carry him and put him in the water.
However, Jesus showed him that He could solve his problem and heal him even if he did not have a man to help him.
Therefore if you have suffered with a problem for a long time and you have resigned yourself to the fact that you will have to live with that problem for the rest of your life because you have no man, no woman and even no money to help you, know that Jesus can solve the problem for you just as He did for this sick man without the help of any man, woman or money.
So instead of focusing on the fact that you do not access to natural help in the form of people or money, focus on the fact that you have access to supernatural help since Jesus is only a prayer away.
Therefore pray everyday and ask God in the name of Jesus to help you solve your problem.
As you pray, believe that He can do it even if you do not see how He can do it because Jesus did not have to wait for the pool to be stirred by an Angel or to carry this sick man to the pool so that He could heal him. He simply told him to get up and walk.
When the futility of your situation challenges your faith in God, remind yourself that God does not have to solve your problem the way humans would solve it because He tells us, "My thoughts are not your thoughts and your ways are not My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than yours and My thoughts above your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9)
Therefore do not give up on your stressful situation because you have no man, no woman and no money to help you solve your problems.
Thank God because you have Jesus Christ to help you and call out to Him in prayer.
