If you want your prayers NOT to be answered do the following:
1. Refuse to Obey God
God says, "They will call to me but I will not answer. They will look for me diligently but they will not find Me because they hated knowledge and did not choose to the fear the Lord.
They would have none of my advice and they despised my correction." (Proverbs 1:28-30)
2. Do not Confess your Sins
The Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot hear you.
His ear is not heavy that it cannot hear you.
But your iniquities have separated you from God
And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)
His ear is not heavy that it cannot hear you.
But your iniquities have separated you from God
And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)
3. Ask while Doubting
Ask in faith, without doubting, for the person who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. Let not that person suppose that they will receive anything from the Lord for they are double-minded and unstable in all their ways. (James 1:6-8)
4. Ask with Wrong Motives
You ask and you do not receive because you ask amiss. (James 4:3)
5. Mistreat your Wife
Husbands, dwell with understanding according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life so that your prayers are not hindered. (1 Peter 3:7)
And this is the second thing you do:
You cover the Lord's altar with tears from weeping and wailing and so He does not regard your offering or receive it with goodwill from your hands ... because the Lord has been witness between you and the wife of your youth whom you have dealt treacherously with. (Malachi 2:13-14)
Conversely, if you want to make sure that your prayers are answered, ensure that you obey Him, confess your sins when you wrong Him, ask for what you want while believing that it can and will be given to you, ask God with the right motive because God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7) and do not mistreat your wife.
