Are you suffering because people have rejected you?
If you are, understand that Jesus welcomes you.
We can see this from the fact that He allowed the woman with the perfume in the alabaster bottle wash his feet with her hair.
We know that she was a rejected woman because when the Pharisee who had invited Jesus into his house saw her washing His feet with her tears, he "Spake within himself saying, 'This man, if He were a prophet, He would have known who and what manner of woman is this who toucheth Him: for she is a sinner.'" (Luke 7:39)
But Jesus did not reject her, He forgave her for He said, "Her sins, which are many, are forgiven." (Luke 7:47)
Therefore if society has rejected you because of your sins, do not reject yourself and begin hating yourself because of what you have done.
Regardless of what you have done know that He can forgive you because We do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses because He was tempted just as we are and yet He was without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrew 4:15-16)
The High Priest mentioned in this passage from the Bible is Jesus Christ and so you can see that He can sympathize with the weaknesses that make us do certain sins since He was tempted just as we are tempted even though He did not sin.
Therefore come to Jesus so that you can receive mercy and grace to help you.
To come to Jesus and ask for mercy and help all you have to do is to pray say, "Lord Jesus please forgive me for the bad things I have done and help me to stop doing them."
In addition to this open your heart to Him by saying, "Jesus is Lord" and believing with your heart that when He died on the cross for our sins, God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
After coming to Jesus, stop wasting your time and energy trying to make people accept you.
Focus you energies on living to please God and you will be delivered from the bondage of being a people pleaser.
Infact the family of Jesus is filled with women who were rejected by their society for The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham:
Abraham begot Isaac,
Isaac begot Jacob and
Jacob begot Judah and his brothers.
Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar,
Perez begot Hezron and
Hezron begot Ram.
Ram begot Amminadab,
Amminadab begot Nahshon and
Nahshon begot Salmon.
Salmon begot Boaz by RAHAB,
Boax begot Obed by Ruth,
Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the king. (Matthew 1:1-6)
The Rahab mentioned here was a harlot and prostitutes are not usually accepted members of their society. This was could have been part of the reason the Israelite spies chose to visit her home (Joshua 2) since she was unlikely to have any friends popping in unexpectedly to find out how she was doing.
However Rahab took steps to ingraft herself into the house of God for helped the Israelite spies though she was not an Israelite. As a result, her life was spared when Jericho was destroyed and she ended up marrying Salmon and giving birth to Boaz who was one of the forefathers of Jesus Christ.
Rahab did this because she had heard about the True God for she told the Israelite spies, We have heard how the Lord dried up the Red Sea for you when you left Egypt and how you utterly destroyed King Sihon and King Og ... for the Lord your God is God in heaven and on earth. (Joshua 2:8-12)
You may also have heard what The Lord God has done for His people and if you wish to join His family so that He can also do great things for you simply:
1. Get Saved
Say with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believe that when He died for our sins God raised Him from the dead on the third day and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
2. Pray Everyday
Pray everyday to communicate with God and hear from Him what He would like you to do.
3. Read your Bible
Read your Bible every day so that you can know more about this True God and learn how He wants you to live.
4. Go to Church
Attend a Church that teaches the Bible and even if the other Church goers reject you, ignore you because you are not going to be accepted by them. You are going to worship the Lord in obedience for we are told, Do not neglect meeting together. (Hebrews 10:25)
5. Serve God
Find something that you can do to serve God the way Rahab served the purposes of God by helping and hiding the Israelite spies because You are God's masterpiece created in Christ to do good works which God prepared for you. (Ephesians 2:10)
Filling your time serving God will also add fulfillment to your life and eradicate the loneliness you may be experiencing after people rejected you.
