Why should I Wait for the Lord any Longer? (2 Kings 6:33)

Why should I wait for the Lord any longer 2 Kings 6:33

Are you in a terrible situation that has moved from bad to worse and you do not know when God will move on your behalf?

If you are, do not give up or give in before you win.

Do the best that you can spiritually, mentally and physically and then, Having done all, stand. (Ephesians 6:13)

Continue standing in your strategic position even if there is nothing more you can do for yourself.

(Click here to learn how to pick a strategic place to position yourself)

As you stand in your strategic position, believe that God can change your situation, By this time tomorrow. (2 Kings 7:1)
By this time tomorrow 2 Kings 7:1

We see a good example of this when King Ben-Hadad of Syria and his army besieged Samaria and caused a great famine. The famine was so severe that a donkey's head was being sold for 80 silver shekels and 1/4 kab of dove droppings for 5 silver shekels.

We do not have to know their currency conversion rate to know that things were bad because the fact that dove droppings were being sold tells us that their situation was terrible.

However, their situation was not just terrible, it was disastrous. It was disastrous because people were even eating their children. (2 Kings 6:28-29)

This fact distressed the King of Samaria so much that he asked, "Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?(2 Kings 6:33)

However in the next verse, the word of the Lord came through Elisha who said, "Thus says the Lord, By this time tomorrow 1 seah of fine flour shall be sold for 1 shekel and 2 seahs of barley for 1 shekel at the gate of Samaria.(2 Kings 7:1)

Notice that within 24 hours, God changed their situation dramatically and for the better because the prices dropped dramatically from 5 shekels buying dove droppings to 1 shekel buying fine flour.

Therefore be encouraged and do not give up if you have been feeding literally and figuratively on droppings because God can dramatically change your situation and feed you with fine flour within a span of 24 hours.

So, if you have been asking yourself, "Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?(2 Kings 6:33)
today answer yourself by saying, "Because By this time tomorrow (2 Kings 7:1) God can have dramatically changed my situation for the better.

We can also see another example of God promising to change the circumstances of His people By this time tomorrow when many kings mustered their forces to fight Joshua for He told him, Do not be afraid of them because by this time tomorrow I will deliver all of them dead before Israel (Joshua 11:6)and God did just that.
