How to Put on the Armor of God

Ephesians 6:11-18 tell us Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the tricks of the devil. ... 

Take up the whole armor of God so that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore having put on the belt of truth

To put on the belt of truth you have to be truthful in your dealings.  

having put on the breastplate of righteousness

To put on the breastplate of righteousness you have to do the right thing in the sight of God. 

having put on the shoes of the gospel of peace

To put on the shoes of the gospel you have to read the Bible every day.

above all take the shield of faith with which you will be able to put out all the fiery darts of the wicked one

and put on the helmet of salvation

To put on the helmet of salvation, you have to say with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that when He died for our sins God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)  

and take the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God

Ensuring you are always praying in the spirit

To pray in the spirit, ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit. As you wait to be filled, continue praying in the normal way.
