Hiring false prophets is another device the devil uses to harm God’s people.
We can see this when King
Balak of the Moabites hired Balaam to curse the Israelites. (Numbers 22:4-6)
Therefore ask God to also fill you with His Holy Spirit, The Spirit of wisdom, understanding,
counsel, power, knowledge and the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2) so that
you can discern whether or not the things being prophesied to you are from God.
In addition, ask God to also turn curses into blessings the way Balaam was hired to curse the Israelites
but ended up blessing them.
