Christian Money Management Principles: Wear God’s Armor

Wearing God’s armor is the sixth Christian money management principle for fighting poverty Biblically.

This armor of God is made up of the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:14-17)

This armor of God is what you need to fight spiritual battles and putting it on can help you win your battle with poverty especially if it has spiritual roots.
Put on the whole armor of God so that you can withstand the evil day and having done all, continue standing - truth, righteousness, the Gospel, faith, salvation and the Word of God (Ephesians 6)

To put on the helmet of salvation, say with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead when He died for our sins on the cross and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Put on the helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6)

To put on the breastplate of righteousness do the right thing in the sight of God all the time. Being righteous is very important if you desire to prosper financially because it is written that The desire of the righteous will be granted. (Proverbs 10:24)

The Bible also tells us that No good thing will God withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11)

Therefore if you want God to grant your desire of being financially free, commit to always doing the right thing in His sight all the time.
The desire of the righteous will be granted (Proverbs 10:24)

To put on the belt of truth commit to being truthful in all your dealings.

To put on the shoes of the Gospel, read your Bible each day.

To use the sword of the spirit, speak the Word of God.

To hold the shield of faith, believe God and His Word. This is a very important weapon because it is able to quench or neutralize all the fiery darts the enemy fires into your life.

These fiery darts can include thoughts that tell you that you will never break free from poverty because of your family history. To neutralize them hold up your shield of faith by reminding yourself of the fact that With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)
