Jehovah Nissi means The Lord our Victory.
This name can be traced to Exodus 17 when the people of Amalek came and fought with the Israelites at Rephidim.
The Israelites led by Joshua won as Moses stood on top of the hill raising his hands with the rod of God in his hand.
Moses then built an altar for God and called it Jehovah Nissi because God had sworn to fight the Amalekites and destroy them. (Exodus 17:8)
Therefore when are under attack and you want God to be your banner and help you win the battle, address your prayers to Jehovah Nissi.
