Ask God for Your Donkey

Ask God for Your Donkey

When Balaam was going on the road to King Balak so that he could curse the Israelites, God was not happy and so God's Angel stood in the way as his adversary. His donkey saw the Angel standing with His drawn sword and turned to the side and went into the field but Balaam struck her and she returned back to the road. (Numbers 22:23)

Then God's Angel stood in a narrow path between vineyards with a wall on both sides. When the donkey saw him, she pushed herself against the wall and crushed Balaam's foot and so he struck her again. (Numbers 22:24-25)

Then God's Angel stood in a narrow path between vineyards with a wall on both sides. When the donkey saw him, she pushed herself against the wall and crushed Balaam's foot and so he struck her again. (Numbers 22:24-25)

Thus we can see a "mere" animal like a donkey could see things that a whole prophet like Balaam could not see and so the donkey saved his life three times.

In addition, the donkey saved Balaam's life a second time even after he struck it for moving into the field. The donkey also saved Balaam's life a third time even after he had struck it the second time when it could have continued moving and let God's Angel destroy Balaam since he was the one on the wrong.

Therefore ask God for your donkey. This donkey represents an assistant of lower rank who can see things which are standing right infront of your path though you cannot see them. This donkey also represents a faithful assistant who though abused still continues to save your life.

And when God sends you your donkey, do not abuse it.
