We Are Not Ignorant of His Devices - Destruction

We Are Not Ignorant of His Devices - Destruction

The thief does not come except to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10)

We can see a good example when the Midianites, Amalekites  and other people from the East would go to Israel and destroy all that they could to ensure the Israelites did not have any sustenance, sheep, ox or donkeys. As a result of the destruction, the Israelites were greatly impoverished. (Judges 6:1-6)

How to Deal with Destruction

If you are being attacked with this device of destruction do the following:

Come to Jesus
Jesus is the antidote for the activities of the thief because He says, “The thief comes to steal, to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Thus we can see that while the thief’ comes to impoverish us by stealing, killing and destroying our assets, Jesus comes to do the opposite and give us an abundant life. His enriching presence in our lives can therefore counter the destructive effects of the thief.
Therefore if you are suffering because your health, family, wealth, relationships, reputation, business, career, ministry or any other assets have been destroyed, invite Jesus into your life by accepting Him as you Lord and Savior.

To do this say with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that when He died for our sins, God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
I have come so that you may have life and have it more abundantly John 10:10

Pray
Pray for Protection
Pray and ask God to protect the assets that are being destroyed.

For example you can pray, “Heavenly Father I ask you in the name of Jesus to protect my (name whatever is being destroyed) from the attacks of the enemy. I commit it to You because The Lord is a shield to those who trust Him. (Proverbs 30:5)”

Pray for Restoration
Pray and ask God to restore the assets that have been destroyed.
For example you can pray, “Heavenly Father I ask you in the name of Jesus to restore my (name whatever has been destroyed) and to give me twice as much as I had before like Job. (Job 42:10)”
God is a shield to those who trust Him Proverbs 30:5

Confess the Word of God

The sword of the spirit is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17) and confessing Bible verses like the following can help you win your battle against this device of destruction since The tongue has the power of life and death. (Proverbs 18:21)

When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19)

No weapon formed against me shall prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)

God is restoring double for my trouble. (Zechariah 9:12)
God is restoring double for my trouble Zechariah 9:12

Go to Church
Commit to going to Church each Sunday so that you do not fall away from the congregation of Christian believers because this makes you an easier target for the devourer the way zebras which fall away from the main herd become easy targets for the real lions to attack and devour.

Therefore, Let us not neglect the assembling of ourselves together. (Hebrews 10:25)
In addition when you meet with other Christians, share testimonies to encourage each other because They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. (Revelation 12:11)
They overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of their Testimony Revelation 12:11

Tithe
Tithe because God promises us, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so that there is food in My house … and I will rebuke the devourer for your sake so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground.” (Malachi 3:10-11)

Therefore take 10% of your gross income to your Church so that God can rebuke the devil and ensure that he will not destroy your assets.
Bring all the tithes and I will pour out blessings, rebuke the devourer and ensure fruit is produced. Malachi 3:10

In addition, since All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and instructing in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16) read your Bible so that you can learn what God says about the assets that are under attack and show you if you have done anything to open a door that is giving the enemy access to them.

Reading your Bible will also teach you how to correct yourself so that you can close the door the enemy is using as a foothold to destroy your assets. This correction usually involves doing what the Bible says and praying for God to forgive you so that you can get back in right standing with Him.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting and instructing in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16

Wait in Faith
The Bible tells us, Having done all, stand. (Ephesians 6:13)

Therefore, after you have called on God in prayer and done what the Bible says about the assets that are being destroyed, you now have to stand and wait for God to do for you what you cannot do for yourself.

As you stand, wait in faith by believing that God is never late even when He seems late. We can see this when Lazarus became sick because his sisters Martha and Mary sent a message to Jesus saying, “Lord, the person You love is sick”. (John 11:3)

When Jesus received the message He did not come immediately. He waited until Lazarus died and was buried. (John 11:17) By coming at that time, it may have seemed that Jesus was late because Lazarus had already been in the tomb for 4 days but He was not late because Martha and Mary received a greater miracle of their dead brother being raised to life compared to if Jesus had come when he was sick and healed him.

In addition, when Jesus was told that Lazarus was sick, He said, “This sickness is not unto death but it is for the glory of God so that the Son of God may be glorified.” (John 11:3) We can see that He was glorified when He raised Lazarus from the dead because the people who had come to mourn with Martha and Mary witnessed their brother being resurrected.

Therefore since you may not know the purposes of God for your “delay” the way Martha and Mary may not have known why Jesus came after Lazarus had been buried, pray and wait in faith by believing that Those who wait on God shall not be ashamed. (Psalm 25:3)
Those who wait on God shall renew their strength. They shall rise up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not get tired. They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
