Devotional: You shall not misuse the name of God

You shall not use the name of your God in vain. (Exodus 20:7)

If you habitually misuse the name of God, find a way to stop the habit. 

For example, you can make a mental note to repeat the commandment to yourself and say a short "I am sorry" prayer like the one below every time misuse His name.

Prayer 

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to forgive me for using Your name inappropriately and to help me remember that it is a holy name which I should reserve for sacred purposes like praying.
