How to Fight Shame with Bible Verses
Shame is one of the tactics that the enemy uses to stop people from reaching their full potential.
We can see an example when David was asking the army soldiers the reward for killing Goliath because his older brother Eliab asked him, “Why did you come down here?” and “With whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness?” And, even stated, “I know your pride and your insolence.” (1 Samuel 17:28)
By saying these things publicly, Eliab was trying to make the other soldiers view David as a proud and insolent shepherd of a few sheep so that David could be ashamed and stop talking to them.
However, David did the right thing for He turned away from Eliab. (1 Samuel 17:30)
Therefore if someone is trying to make you feel ashamed, turn away from them physically and/or mentally by turning towards God in prayer.
