The following relaxation tips can help you manage stress more effectively:
Munch on Mangoes
Mangoes are other fruits which contain linalool – the compound that tempers the changes associated with stress in the body.
Mangoes are also excellent sources of nutrients that the body needs to maintain its health when it is dealing with stress like vitamin C.
Therefore prepare a soothing smoothie by blending linalool containing fruits like mangoes, grapes, and oranges and sip it to keep stress at bay.
Nose a Rose
Though this fact did not really need to be proven scientifically, studies have shown that the scent of a rose can change a person’s mood. Therefore spend time smelling roses if stress has changed your mood for the worse.
To do this, buy a bouquet of fresh roses and keep it on your desk. Better still, take a walk to the nearest rose garden for a holistic healing experience since you will be surrounded by its healing hues, scents and sights.
Omit White Flour
Consuming foods with white flour causes rapid surges in blood sugar levels which are followed by rapid drops. These changes are associated with the release of the stress hormone known as cortisol.
Therefore, omit white flour from your diet by steering clear of foods like white bread, cakes, and cookies. Replace them with foods prepared from whole grains like brown bread.
Have Faith in God
God asks us, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27) The answer to this question is that nothing is too hard for God even your stressful situation.
Therefore decide to have unshakable faith in God's ability to help you and you will manage your stressful situation with as little distress as possible. Believe that there is nothing that is too hard for Him to do and you will dispel the distress of hopelessness.
