The following are the
spiritual steps you need to take when planning for your trip:
Pray
When Ezra and the
Israelites were travelling from Babylon to Jerusalem, they needed God’s
protection and so they prayed for Ezra said, I was ashamed to ask the king for an escort of soldiers and horsemen to
help us against the enemy on the road because we had told the king that “The
hand of our God is upon all those who seek Him for good but His power and His
wrath are against all those who forsake Him.” (Ezra 8:22)
Therefore, seek the
Lord in prayer before you set off on your journey.
As you do so, ensure that
you use Bible verses since The sword of
the spirit is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)
Bible verses prayers
that you can say as you prepare for your journey include:
Father God I acknowledge You in the name of
Jesus and ask You to instruct me and teach me in the way I should go. (Psalm
32:8)
If you need God’s provision
for your journey, you can say the following prayer:
Father God I ask You in the name of Jesus to supply
all my needs for this journey according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
If you need God’s protection
on your journey, you can say the following prayer:
Father God, I ask You in the name of Jesus to
protect me as I travel on this journey for You are my refuge and my fortress
and My God and in Whom I trust. Deliver me from the tricks and traps of the enemy
and from dangerous diseases. Father God cover me with Your feathers and let me
take refuge under your wings and I shall not be afraid of the night terrors or
of the perils that operate during the day or of the dangers that lurk in the
darkness. I shall also not fear the destructions that destroy in day light
because they shall not come near me for You are with me. (Adapted Psalm 91:2-7)
