My New Year Sermon for you is from Joshua chapter 1.
Moses had died and Joshua was entering a new phase of his life just as you are entering a new one of yours as you begin this year.
In this Bible passage, God is telling Joshua how he is to navigate his new season and He repeatedly tells him to be strong and courageous.
Therefore, heed God's advice this new year and be strong and courageous because of the following reasons:
Be Strong and Courageous to Fulfill your Life's Purpose
God told Joshua, "Be strong and courageous because to these people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their forefathers to give them. (Joshua 1:6)Joshua was to be strong and courageous so that he could fulfill God's purposes for His life which was to divide the Promised Land among the 12 tribes of Israel.
Therefore be strong and courageous this year so that you can do the job that God has given you effectively.

Be Strong and Courageous to Obey God's Laws
God told Joshua, "Be strong and very courageous so that you may do all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left so that you may prosper wherever you go. (Joshua 1:7)Joshua was to be strong and courageous so that he obey all the commandments that God had given them through Moses.
Therefore be strong and courageous this year so that you can obey God's commandments even when it is not the politically correct thing to do. To help you do this, click here to read How to Workout the Practical Side of your Salvation.
Be Strong and Courageous because God is with You
God told Joshua, "Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid or be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)Joshua was to be strong and courageous God was with him.
Therefore be strong and courageous this year for God is with you wherever you go because God Himself has said: I will never leave you or forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)
End of Infertility
I also believe that the Lord is saying that in 2019 there will be an end of infertility.
Therefore if for many years you have tried in vain to have a child, this is the year to really believe Him for a child as you pray like Hannah did in 1 Samuel 1:11 when she said, "O Lord of hosts, if You will look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me and give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to You all the days of his life."
Even if your bareness affects your business or your ministry, this is the year to believe God for productivity.
