Rhema: Who Dropped You?

Rhema: Who Dropped You?

Have you been dropped and divorced by your spouse?

Have you been dropped and your contract terminated by a company?

Have you been dropped and expelled by a learning institution?

Has being dropped paralyzed you physically, financially, socially and in other ways?

If it has, understand that God can help you and restore all that you have lost.

We can see this from the life of Mephibosheth because he was dropped by his nanny when he was 5 years old and he became lame. (2 Samuel 4:4) This dropping happened on the day that King Saul (his grandfather), Jonathan (his father), Abinadab (his uncle) and Malchi-shua (his uncle), died in battle. (1 Chronicles 10:2)

As a result of the events that happened that day, Mephibosheth became paralyzed physically and possibly in other ways.

For starters, his self esteem was destroyed because when King David brought from Lo Debar and told him, "I will be kind to you for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore all the land of King Saul your grandfather and you shall eat your meals at my table " (2 Samuel 9:1-7) Mephibosheth responded by asking King David, What is your servant that you should look upon such a dead dog like me? (2 Samuel 9:8)

However, regardless of all the losses he had incurred after being dropped and his father and his grandfather dying in battle and the throne moving from his lineage to that of David, Mephibosheth's losses were restored because King David gave him all the property that had belonged to King Saul and commanded that King Saul's servant Ziba was to till the land for him. (2 Samuel 9:9-10)

Therefore, regardless of what you lost when you were dropped, pray and believe that God can help you recover it all.

Even if you cannot physically do anything to change your situation like paralyzed Mephibosheth, pray and believe for restoration.

Even if you are currently living in a financial wilderness, pray and believe that God can reach into your nothingness and cause you to sit with Kings the way David sent for Mephibosheth who was living in Lo Debar (which means nothing or wilderness) and gave orders for him to seat and eat at his table.

Even if you have been paralyzed socially the way Mephibosheth's social status changed from being the King's grandson who was a potential heir to the throne, to being a paralyzed boy living in the middle of nowhere, continue praying and believing God for restoration because Mephibosheth was given all the lands of his deceased grandfather.

Even if you are mentally paralyzed because of severe depression which makes you see yourself being as good as a dead dog, decide to pray and believe that God can work a miracle in your life the way He did for Mephibosheth.

Understand therefore that it does not matter who dropped you because God can pick you up from wherever you landed For with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

And, stop thinking of yourself as a dead dog and start thinking of yourself as a child of the most High God For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26)
