Christian goal setting for adults involves the following steps:
1. Identifying your goal
The first step of Christian goal setting for adults involves identifying what you want to achieve.
For example if you want to lose weight you can set your goal as: I will lose 18 pounds.
2. Creating a good goal
The second step of Christian goal setting for adults involves modifying your goal to make it a good goal.
A good goal defines the Amount you
want to achieve, how Long it will take you to achieve it and How you will get it.
Therefore for a weight loss goal, you can set an amount of 18 pounds, a duration of 6 months and a method of exercising three times a week.
Your good weight loss goal would therefore be: I will lose 18 pounds in 6 months by
exercising thrice a week.
After creating your good goal, write it down where you will read it every day.
After creating your good goal, write it down where you will read it every day.
3. Creating monthly mini goals
The third step of Christian goal setting for adults is creating monthly mini goals by dividing the main goal into monthly goals.
Therefore for your weight loss goal, divide the total amount you want to lose by the duration you have chosen to create your monthly goal.
Your weight loss monthly mini goal would therefore be: I will lose 3 pounds each month by exercising three times a week.
4. Creating daily action plans
The fourth step of Christian goal setting for adults in creating daily action plans by writing out your daily activities.
For example to achieve your weight loss goal, you can create an action plan like the following:
5 am -6 am Wake up, Bible reading and prayer
6 am -7 am Workout by stretching for 10 minutes, running on the treadmill for 30 minutes, doing sit-ups, press-ups and lunges for 10 minutes and stretching for 10 minutes.
7 am -8 am Shower, eat breakfast and leave for work.
