A Moses deliverance
is a type of deliverance in which a person is removed from the problematic situation
and compensated for being in it.
We can see classical
examples of this type of deliverance from the following events in the life of Moses:
Moses Deliverance 1
Pharaoh King of
Egypt commanded his people to throw every Israelite baby boy into the river and
let every baby girl live. (Exodus 1:22) It is in this background that Jochebed
and her husband Amram were blessed with a baby boy. When she saw that he was a
beautiful child, Jochebed hid Moses for 3 months. (Exodus 2:1)
When she could
not hide him anymore, Jochebed made an ark of reeds for Moses, coated it with
asphalt and pitch to make it waterproof and put him inside it. She then hid the
ark with baby Moses in the reeds along the river bank. (Exodus 2:3)
One day Pharaoh's
daughter saw the floating ark and sent her maid to get it. When she opened it,
she saw Moses, he wept and she had compassion on him. (Exodus 2:5-6)
A young Hebrew
girl appeared and asked her if she could get a Hebrew woman to nurse the baby
for her and Pharaoh’s daughter consented without questioning. (Exodus
2:7-8) The young Hebrew girl, who happened to be Moses' sister Miriam, went and
called their mother.
Pharaoh's
daughter then commanded Jochebed saying, "Nurse this child for me and I
will pay you." (Exodus 2:9) Jochebed then took her biological son
Moses, nursed him and when he grew older, brought him to Pharaoh's daughter to
be raised as her adopted son. (Exodus 2:10)
Pharaoh's
daughter named Amram and Jochebed's son Moses which means drawn out because she
drew him out of the waters of the Egyptian river. (Exodus 2:10) Since water sometimes
symbolizes trouble in the Bible, this Egyptian princess also drew Moses out of
the troubles the Israelites were facing in Egypt at that time because they were
slaves for she brought him up in the palace as a prince.
Thus Moses
received a Moses Deliverance because he was drawn out of the problem of being
killed because he was a Hebrew baby boy and he was
compensated for being in that problematic situation since he was brought up in
the palace as a prince.
Jochebed also
received a Moses Deliverance because she was saved from the problem of having
her child killed because of Pharaoh's command and compensated for having that problem by
being paid to nurse him.
Therefore when
you are in a problematic situation that is not of your own doing, pray and
ask God to grant you a Moses deliverance that will result in you being removed
from the troubling situation and also being paid for being in the problem.
To be able to persevere
in the problematic situation until God delivers you, believe that God is with
you for He promises us, "When you pass through the waters, I will be
with you and when you pass through the rivers, they shall not overflow you." (Isaiah
43:2) Therefore cling onto this Promise
of God by believing that God is with you and you shall not drown in the
problems.
To help you wait
expectantly for God to grant you a Moses Deliverance, believe that God will compensate you for He promises us saying, “For your
shame you shall have double honor. And for confusion they shall rejoice in
their portion. Therefore in their land they shall posses double and everlasting
joy shall be theirs.” (Isaiah 61:7) Therefore clutch onto this Promise
of God by believing that God will cause you to be compensated for the humiliating
trouble you are experiencing.
