It is an effective strategy because it is based on biblical principles. To help you have a more effective prayer time, you can download the War Room Prayer Strategy Printable here, print it out and hang it on the walls of your War Room so that you can refer to it.
The steps of the War Room Prayer Strategy for your Faith are as follows:
1. Identify the Devil's Device
The devil uses many strategies to fight God's people and their families but We are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11) These devices of the devil include false accusations, confusion, deception, destruction, devaluation, discouragement, distraction, fear, frustration, hiring false prophets, intimidation, murder, (mis)quoting the Bible, opposition, oppression, persistence, provocation, seduction and temptation.
You can identify the device being used against your faith by paying attention to what you are experiencing. For example if you are fearful as you practice your faith, know that fear is the device being used by the enemy because God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
Another device of the devil is hiring false prophets. We can see an example of this when Shemaiah was hired by Nehemiah's enemies Tobiah and Sanballat to pronounce a prophecy telling him, “Let us meet within the Temple because they will come to kill you at night.” (Nehemiah 6:10) However, Nehemiah perceived that Shemaiah had not been sent by God but that he had been hired by his enemies Tobiah and Sanballat. (Nehemiah 6:12)
Nehemiah dealt with this device of the devil by praying for he said, “My
God remember Tobiah and Sanballat because of these works and the prophetess
Noadiah and all the other prophets who wanted to make me afraid.” (Nehemiah
6:14)
In your case your faith may have been affected by persons with authority in the Christian Church who did things that hurt you. To deal with this device, forgive the person and ask God to deal with them the way Nehemiah did.
To learn more about these devices of the devil read We Are Not Ignorant Of His Devices which uses examples from the Bible to teach you about 20 strategies that the devil uses to attack God's people and explains how to deal with each of those devices of the devil.
2. Put on the Armor of God
The Bible instructs us to, "Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the tricks of the devil." (Ephesians 6:11)
The armor of God consists of the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:14-17)
To put on this armor of God you have to do the following:
1. Put on the helmet of salvation by saying with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believing in your heart that when Jesus died for our sins, God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
2. Put on the breastplate of righteousness by doing the right thing in the sight of God.
3. Tie the belt of truth by being truthful in all your dealings.
4. Put on the Gospel of peace by reading your Bible every day.
5. Take up the shield of faith by believing God and His Word in the Bible because this will help you neutralize the attacks of the enemy. You should also make a point of listening to preaching of the Gospel each day because Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
6. Take up the sword of the spirit which is the word of God by speaking Scriptures over your situation.

3. Praise and Thank God
The Bible tells us to Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. (Psalm 100:4)
This means that when you want to enter God's presence you have to thank Him and praise Him.
Therefore begin praising God by reading and personalizing praise psalms like the following:
Bless the Lord O my soul and do not forget all His benefits:
He forgives all my iniquities,
He heals all my diseases,
He redeems my life from destruction,
He crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
He satisfies my mouth with good things
So that my youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:2-5)
You can also play Christian praise songs on your DVD player or computer or radio and singing along.
Combine this with thanking God for what He has done for you in the past and praising Him for what He will do for you in the future.
You can also praise God for Who He is especially if you need Him to use those attributes to help you. For example if you need Him to sanctify you, you can praise Him by saying, "I praise You because You are Jehovah Mikadishkim (Leviticus 20:8) the Lord Who Sanctifies."

4. Pray Effectively
The Bible tells us that The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person availeth much. (James 5:16)
Therefore, once you are in the presence of God begin praying effectively so that your prayers can achieve a lot by using Bible verses since The SWORD of the spirit is the WORD of God. (Ephesians 6:17)
Ensure that you are also praying fervently by proclaiming the scriptures passionately and enthusiastically.
Bible verses or SWORD WORDS that you can use to pray effectively and fervently for your health include:
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help my unbelief. (Mark 9:24)
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to increase my faith. (Luke 17:5)
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
To learn more read SWORD WORDS which is a compilation of War Room Scriptures you can use to pray for different things and a battle plan to help you win your Christian spiritual warfare battles.
In addition, pray and ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit, The Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge and the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2) so that you can also receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These gifts include discernment of spirits (1 Corinthians 12:10) which will enable you to know whether or not the things being prophesied to you are from God.
Ensure that you have also confessed your sins to God and asked for His forgiveness because The Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save you and His ear is not heavy that He cannot hear you. But your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-2)

5. Have Faith
As you pray for your faith, you have to believe that you will receive what you are asking for because we are told to Ask in faith. (James 1:6) Therefore if you are praying for stronger faith, you have to pray while seeing with yourself with your mind's eye standing firm in the face of the challenge that usually makes you doubt God because Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
If you feel or think that you do not have any faith, know that is a lie because God has dealt to each person a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)
If you feel or think that your faith is too small to achieve anything, understand that is also a lie because Jesus taught, "If you have faith as small a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20)
If you find that your faith is wavering because one day you are certain that your prayers will be answered and the next you are not sure, simply pray "Lord I believe. Help my unbelief." (Mark 9:24)
Then emulate David by reminding yourself of how God has helped you in the past or how He helped people similar situations either in real life or in the Bible because when he encountered Goliath, David said, "The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." (I Samuel 17:37)
You can also watch the War Room movie which strengthens my faith in God every time I watch it.
6. Fast
Jesus taught that somethings have to be dealt with by combining prayer with fasting when He said, "This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21)
Therefore combine praying with abstaining from food for 1 day or 3 days or 21 days or 40 days. If you have never fasted before you can begin by skipping 1 meal. If you have any medical condition or you are taking medication, please consult your doctor first.
Therefore combine praying with abstaining from food for 1 day or 3 days or 21 days or 40 days. If you have never fasted before you can begin by skipping 1 meal. If you have any medical condition or you are taking medication, please consult your doctor first.
As you abstain from food ensure that you are not engaging in pleasurable activities or taking advantage of people because when the Israelites asked God “Why have we fasted and You do not see? (Isaiah 58:3) He told them, “On the day you fast, you find pleasure and exploit your laborers.” (Isaiah 58:3)

7. Cling to God's Promises
As you wait to receive what you are praying for, emulate Abraham for Abraham did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief. But he was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God while being fully convinced that what God had promised, He was able to perform. (Romans 4:20-21)
Therefore meditate on the Promises of God for your faith while being fully convinced that what God has promised in His Word, He is able to perform for you just as He did for Abraham and also because All the promises of God in Jesus Christ are Yes and Amen. (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Some of the promises of God for your faith that you can meditate on include:
God has dealt to each person a measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)
Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
My expectation shall not be cut off. (Proverbs 23:18)
With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)
"If you have faith as small a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20)
The righteous cry out and the Lord God hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17)
Do not be afraid because I am with you. Do not be dismayed because I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

8. Speak to the Situation
Jesus taught, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:20-21)
This shows us that the keys to dealing with impossible situations are your faith, your words, your prayers and your fasting.
To do this effectively, speak SWORD WORDS like the following every morning and evening:
The Lord God is helping me walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
This shows us that the keys to dealing with impossible situations are your faith, your words, your prayers and your fasting.
Therefore even if you are dealing with a situation that affects your faith that the specialists have declared impossible know that Nothing will be impossible for you (Matthew 17:20) if you combine praying with fasting and having faith in God with speaking to the mountainous health challenge you are facing.
To do this effectively, speak SWORD WORDS like the following every morning and evening:
The Lord God is increasing my faith. (Luke 17:5)
The Lord God is helping me where I have unbelief. (Mark 9:24)
The Lord God is helping me where I have unbelief. (Mark 9:24)
The Lord God is helping me walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
