Bible Reading
The Israelites camped on the plains of Moab across from Jericho …
The people of Moab were exceedingly afraid of the Israelites … King Balak then
sent messengers to Balaam to come and curse the Israelites …
When Balaam tried the following words came out of his mouth, “How
shall I curse whom God has not cursed? How shall I denounce whom the Lord has
not denounced?” (Numbers 23:8)
When Balaam tried to curse the Israelites the second time the
following words came out of his mouth, “He has blessed and I cannot reverse it.
(Numbers 23:20)
When Balaam tried to
curse them the third time the following words came out of his mouth, “Blessed
is he who blesses you and cursed is he who curses you.” (Numbers 24:9)
King Balak’s anger was aroused and …he said to Balaam, “I called
you to curse my enemies but you have blessed them abundantly three times.” And Balak
replied saying … “What the Lord says, that I must speak.” (Numbers 22:1-Numbers 24:13)
Thus we can see
that when the Israelites were about to enter Promised Land, King Balak consulted
Balaam to curse them. However the opposite happened so that they were blessed
three times.
Therefore
believe that God can protect you from curses because
With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)
Prayer
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me
remember that With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26) including protecting me
from curses so that I can believe without wavering that you will protect me
since All things are possible for
the person who believes. (Mark 9:23)
