Strengthen Your Faith Devotional Day 9

Bible Reading

The Israelites wept again saying, “Who will give us meat to eat?” So the Lord said to Moses … “Say to the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow and you shall eat meat … The Lord will give you meat and you shall eat meat. You shall eat not 1 day nor 2 days nor 5 days nor 10 days nor 20 days but for a whole month’”

Then Moses asked the Lord, “The people are 600,000 men and yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat so that they may eat for a whole month.’ Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered to provide enough for them or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together to provide enough for them?”

And the Lord said to Moses, “Has the Lord’s arm been shortened?”

… A wind went out from the Lord and it brought quail from the sea and left them fluttering near the camp … and the people stayed up all that day, all night and the next day and gathered the quail.  (Numbers 11:4-32)  

The Israelites in the wilderness were 600,000 men with their families and when they cried out for meat to eat, God caused a wind to bring them quail from the sea. Moses has asked if God would feed the Israelites with meat from cattle or with fish but God instead fed them with birds from the sea.

Therefore believe that God can provide for you meat or whatever else you need even if you are in the middle of a wilderness situation because With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

In addition, know that God is not a respector of persons (Acts 10:34) which means that what He did for the Israelites, He can also do for you if you believe. Therefore believe that God can provide you with meat and if your faith is wavering read How to Increase your Faith.

Prayer

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me remember that With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26) including providing me with meat in the middle of a wilderness so that I can believe without wavering that you will help me since All things are possible for the person who believes. (Mark 9:23)
