Christian New Year Wishes
May your barren areas give birth to great strength this New Year
The barrenness of Manoah's wife gave birth to great strength because Samson her son was the strongest man in the land. I therefore wish you abundant fruitfulness in this New Year and may the barren areas in your life become fruitful and give birth to great strength.
2020 New Year Bible Verse
This year 2020, I felt that the Lord was giving the following Scripture as my Bible verse for the year:
Behold I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth. Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:19)
From this 2020 New Year Bible Verse I offer you the following Christian New Year Wishes:
May the Lord God cause new things to spring forth in your life this New Year
Since the Lord has promised us that He will do a new thing in our lives, believe His promise and look out for the new things that will spring forth in your life.
If you do not see them, ask Him to open your eyes so that you can see them the way God opened Hagar's eyes and she saw a well of water (Genesis 21:19) after she had thought that her son Ishmael would die of thirst in the Wilderness of Beersheba.
May the Lord God make a road in your wilderness this New Year
If you have been trapped in a wilderness situation, believe that the Lord God will make a road so that you can get a way to leave the wilderness.
May the Lord God make rivers in your desert this New Year
If you have been trapped in a desert situation, believe that the Lord God will make rivers for you so that you do not die of thirst. This implies that you may not even have to leave the desert because God will enable you to flourish right there by making rivers for you.
We can see a good example of flourishing in the midst of lack when there was famine in the land and God told Isaac not to go to Egypt to escape the famine but to Dwell in this land and I will be with you and bless you. (Genesis 26:3)
Isaac obeyed God and stayed in the famished land and Then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped a hundredfold in the same year and the Lord blessed him. He began to prosper and continued prospering until he became very prosperous. (Genesis 26:12-13) Thus Isaac flourished in famine.
Therefore pray and believe for rivers (not just one river but many rivers) in your desert so that you can prosper in the middle of a desert and flourish in the middle of a famine.

New Beginnings Book Excerpt
Sanctify Yourself
When the Israelites were
preparing to cross the River Jordan and begin a new life in their Promised
Land, Joshua said to them, "Sanctify yourselves because tomorrow God
will do wonders among you." (Joshua 3:5)
This wonder that Joshua was
expecting God to do for the Israelites was helping them cross the flooded River
Jordan (Joshua 3:15) without a boat.
Therefore if you are expecting
God to do wonders for you as you enter the New Year or begin a new venture, sanctify
yourself by doing the following:
1. Confess your sins
Confess all your sins and ask
God to forgive you. Ask Him to also remind you of the sins you have forgotten so
that you can confess them and ask for His forgiveness.
2. Obey the commandments
Go through the 10 commandments
and evaluate your life to see if you are obeying them. If you are not, confess
your sin, make a conscious decision to obey them and ask God to help you.
