Christmas Devotional Day 1

Christmas Devotional Day 1

Bible Reading

The birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be expecting a Child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband to be, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public spectacle, thought of ending their relationship privately. (Matthew 1:18-19).

Bible Lesson

Mary experienced a big problem before the first Christmas because her relationship with Joseph was threatened by the fact that she was pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

This problem of Mary teaches us that sometimes when God enables us to conceive “things” inside us like ministries through the power of the Holy Spirit, the way Mary had conceived Jesus, we may encounter problems in our personal and even professional lives.

Therefore if you are facing big problems because of doing what God has called you to do, do not give up on your calling. Continue being obedient to God and trust that He will work it out for your good just like He did for Mary.

Prayer

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me not give up on my ministry because of these problems that I am facing. Father God give me the strength to carry on doing what you have called me to do so that I can fulfill my life’s purpose.

Bible Verse Meditation

All things work together for the good of those who love God and those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
