Bible Reading
And the children struggled together within her and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” And she went to inquire of the Lord. And the Lord said unto her, “Two nations are in your womb … When the time came for her to give birth, behold there were twins in her womb. (Genesis 25:22-24)
Bible Lesson
Rebecca teaches us that we have to consult God when something is not right with our children.
Therefore, if you notice something weird about your children, regardless of whether they are your unborn children or your adult children, inquire of the Lord to find out what they are like that.
Inquiring of God is very important because He can give you
the spiritual insight into your problem which will
help you cope better with the physical effects of the problem and help you seek
the best solution for the problem which can include consulting the best
counselor or doctor.
Note that consulting a doctor or any human specialist is also important but this should complement consulting God because human specialists can prescribe treatment that will treat the problem but God can direct you to the right human specialists or He can cure the entire problem from its root.
Therefore first consult God
whenever you notice a problem with your children because He tells us, “Call
to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do
not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
Prayer
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me remember that I should consult you first whenever I notice a problem with my children.
Bible Verse Meditation
Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know. (Jeremiah 33:3)
