Bible Reading
Haman was a very
powerful man in King Ahasuerus’s kingdom and he hated Mordechai because he did
not bow before him. (Esther 3:5) He therefore built gallows to hang Mordechai.
(Esther 5:9-14)
Haman hated
Mordechai so much that he decided that he wanted to kill all of Mordechai’s
people who were the Israelites in King Ahasuerus’ kingdom. (Esther 3:1-6) He
therefore hatched a plot which resulted in an irrevocable decree being passed
that stated all the Israelites would be killed on the 13th day of
the 12th month.
However, Queen
Esther, who had not told anyone that she was an Israelite, invited the King and
Haman to a banquet in which she told the King of Haman’s plot. This resulted in
Haman being hanged on the gallows he had built for Mordechai. (Esther 7:10)
The King also
gave Queen Esther and Mordechai authority to write another irrevocable decree
that gave the Israelites permission to protect their lives from any person who
wanted to harm them. (Esther 8:1-14)
Therefore believe
that God can save your life even if irrevocable decrees have been passed by
powerful people and intricate measures put in place to destroy you and your
possessions because With God all
things are possible. (Matthew
19:26)
In addition, know that God is not a respector of persons (Acts 10:34) which means that what He did for Esther and the Israelites, He can also do for you if you believe. Therefore believe that He can save you and if your faith is wavering read How to Increase your Faith.
Prayer
Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me remember that With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26) including You saving my life and possessions.
