December 1 to 7 is National Anger Awareness Week and we are therefore posting Christian Anger Management part 1 which is an excerpt from the book Christian Anger Management.

Pray for God's Help

When you find yourself getting angry pray and ask God to help you keep your cool.

Bible verse prayers that can help you control anger include:

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me keep my cool because man’s anger does not bring about the righteousness that God desires. (James 1:20)

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help me so that I am not hasty in my spirit to get angry. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Heavenly Father I ask You in the name of Jesus to help control myself because the person who is slow to anger is better than one who is mighty. (Proverbs 16:32)

  1. Anger is a powerful emotion that can often get the best of us. It's important to find healthy ways to manage and control our anger. The excerpt from the book Christian Anger Management provides some valuable insights on how to deal with anger from a Christian perspective.

One of the key suggestions mentioned is to pray for God's help in keeping our cool. This is a powerful reminder that we don't have to face our anger alone. By seeking God's guidance and strength, we can find the inner peace and self-control needed to handle anger in a righteous way.

In addition to prayer, the book also highlights specific Bible verses that can serve as prayers to help control anger. Verses such as James 1:20, Ecclesiastes 7:9, and Proverbs 16:32 remind us of the importance of patience, self-control, and the righteousness desired by God.
