Stress Management for Hopeless Situations

Are you stressed because you are dealing with a hopeless situation?

If you are, do not give up.

Know that you can manage that stress effectively by following the steps taken by the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5). These steps include:

Mentally place your hope in God
Mentally place your expectation of the situation changing for the better in God rather than in yourself because With God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

To keep your hope alive in the midst of the hopelessness surrounding you, remind yourself that Hope that is seen is not hope. For why should someone hope for what they see? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it eagerly and with perseverance. (Romans 8:24–25)

Therefore, Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation and continue steadfastly in prayer. (Romans 12:12)

Spiritually place your faith in God
Decide to believe that God can change your situation for the better.

This having faith in God’s ability to is very important because All things are possible for the person who believes (Mark 9:23) and it was faith that enabled this woman to be healed for Jesus said to her, “Your faith has made you well.” (Mark 5:34)

Physically do something
This woman did something physical about her situation because she left her home and pressed through the crowd until she touched Jesus and received her healing.

Therefore, do whatever you can to lessen the hopelessness in your situation.
